TICKS!!!!!!

Hi well yesterday was a lovely day (29/30) so I did some cleaning and then we all sat out, Charelle and I ventured into the pool, it was cold at first but lovely afterwards!! We had a ball, rels carried on so much she had me creaed up with laughter, when she got out and had a shower she said mum there was something like a bug stuck to me under my arm.......... she said it was really stuck though? so i though leech!
Then i found one on my neck...... would it come of nah anyhow bloody TICKS!!!!!!! then one on my tummy!!! not impressed. Apparently Australia has 75 different ticks!! NICE and the pharmacy say they live in bush or black boys (stuff we have around the pool!!!) so we got them of and we are ok, but there is one called the paralysis tick, and yes you guessed it it can KILL you!!!! it injects you with toxins and until you get it of you can die !!!!! although these are in the eastern states!!!
So we had to go over each others bodies with a fine tooth last night it was like we were monkeys!!!!
SO the pharmacist says we will be ok, the problems happen when people come in and they are engorged and they just cannot get them off!!!!! So we trust in the pharmacist that we will not get Lyme disease or anything like it!!!!!!
Friend of ours are meant to be taking the plants for there garden think I will have to tell them to reconsider, as we had ticks on us from them???!!
So any info anyone has about ticks would be good.!
